46th Street Mural Clean-Up on Sun, April 17th

Now that Fremont has enjoyed the beautiful, colorful and interesting mural – by Todd Lown – on the North 46th Street underpass for a year, its time to pitch in and make it tidy once more.  The mural – selected, installed and even painted by the community – will get cleaned-up, along with surrounding sidewalks, on Sunday, April 17th, from 11a – 2p.

Volunteeers are needed to pick up debris, and glass, that has accumulated along this popular pedestrian and bicycle stroll.  Also, the grime on the mural must be washed off.  Can you come assist, and make the burden that much lighter?

To sign up, click on the Google schedule here.  For more information on the mural, and further efforts to fix up the surrounding area by the incredible group of volunteers that made the mural possible (winners of the 2009 Fremont Chamber Hammering Man award) check out their Facebook page.  Even if you can’t sign-up, show up and lend a hand – for a few minutes or until the work gets done!
